One more day on the ship...
We had one more round of presentations scheduled for our last day at sea. We had room service deliver breakfast for the only time this cruise; they only offered cold items, so the buffet was more appealing. Our old friend Naomi and our new friend Jennifer gave talks, as did husband and wife team Brandon and Sharon (separately). In the afternoon, we had more music from
The Americans and a Wheel of Fortune type game before winding down. Those who didn't want their free champagne for some reason had brought the extra bottles to the conference room, so Kevin and I snagged one and enjoyed it on the deck at sunset before heading to the farewell party.
By tradition, the last night on every Costa cruise is Toga Night. We didn't participate, but many from our group did. Let's just say some wore them better than others. Randi performed an escape, and Joe Wagg performed a song in his honor to the tune of "My Way". This, along with many other moments from the cruise (but none involving me) are viewable on
YouTube. Those looking down on us in the disco from the casino above probably thought we were some kind of cult, and Randi our leader.
We enjoyed our last dinner in the company of Mark and Susan, Paul and Candi, and the Beadys. We then headed to the Card Room for one last night of drinks and card tricks.
