The Former Governor
In light of the events surrounding our former governor, I keep thinking of the saying "Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely". Mr. Blagojevich seemed to have good ideas in the beginning, though perhaps seemed a bit naive, whatever, but this whole deal with the now-former governor is quite disappointing.
Finally we have a president that I can at least *hope* will do a good job in representing America within the world, that I don't have to be ashamed of, like Bush. With Obama, I don't have as much embarrassment being an American as with Bush, at least.
For Now.
Then our governor makes such a gross mis-step that I have to be embarrassed that I am a citizen of Illinois.
I just HopeHopeHope Obama does not let us down.
If I think too much about politics, it makes me antsy, so I'll stop here.
