Well well. Wouldn't have thought Larkin had that in him. Maybe when he stops feeling hard done by for being born a human being, and looks however briefly outside himself...

i had no idea that there was a statue of larkin!

thanks for linking to the video; when i read rhyming, metered verse in my head it tends to sound sing-song and childish, so it's good to hear how it should be done, so to speak.

The official one shows him "late getting away", presumably on the Whitsunday of the Weddings, but I much prefer the affectionate (?)tribute to Toads.
