SPN Fic: Basium Angeli

Feb 23, 2008 23:11

Lookee, lookee. A real SPN fic. For to actually read.

A "Jus in Bello" missing scene. Because Musey insisted.

Many thanks to izhilzha. She outdid herself with an uber-fast turnaround. This, I think, is the fastest I've ever posted a fic.

Standard disclaimers apply. Not mine, no money, etcetera, etcetera, and so on.

Whoo!

May I assume that this is going up on ff.net as well?

Also, which would you prefer me to link to when I rec this? :-)

Yes, indeedy. I just posted to ff.net. Um . . .

Either/or for the rec, I guess. I was going to post it to spn_gen, but then I realized that some people (most people?) might consider this romance or het (which would be a streeeeetch), and I'm not sure if it would be acceptable over there.

But I'm goin' to bed now. It's almost midnight. :-)

I asked sarcasticval if she'd seen this fic, and she did, and immediately suggested that you post/link it on spn_gen. I brought up the gen/het issue, and she countered by saying that SPN seems to be a "gen equals not-slash/not-incest" fandom, but if it makes you feel better about posting you could put a teeny warning on it. ("I think of this story as gen, but YMMV" or something.)

Go put it out there! This is too good a story to not be read by all.

I'll have to drop my fellow Buckeye a line and thank her for the encouragement.

Oh, that's good to know, since that's pretty much what I'm used to from my dealings with TS.

Go put it out there!

Okay, okay. I'm goin'. I'm goin'. Sheesh.

Thanks so much!

Sweet and hot . . . it sounds like a salsa. I write salsa?

I'm delighted you liked it (and that you took the time to tell me). :-D

Oh... Poor Nancy. This was fantastic, speaking as a (mostly) slash reader/writer. I got totally wrapped up in what Nancy was feeling it made for a lovely change.

*mems, and sends you cookies*

Thanks for the cookies! They're quite tasty.

I'm delighted you enjoyed the piece, and that you took the time to tell me. As a gen reader/writer (with the occasional side of het in the reading), I'm particularly pleased that you found this to be a nice change.

And how delightful to see Blair in your icon

Thanks for stopping by!

Hee! I have to be in the right mood/place to read het. But Nancy was such a compelling one-shot character that she deserved better then what got (stupid Lilith). So after I saw the episode I went looking for 'fix-it' fic. I've got something rolling around in my brain, we'll see where it goes.

I <3 my Blair Icons and The Sentinel.

Thanx for self-rec.
I have to disagree with Nancy here - the kiss with Dean is sex. In most endearing way possible.

You're very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. :-) This really is one of my favorite SPN pieces. I just loved the way Nancy and Dean related to each other, and how a woman of her virtue was so rare in his experience.

Yep. His Thanx to her was so sweet - for me it was almost similar to his gratitude to Anna later - different circumstances but similar thanks.
