Still one of my favorites
Went to see Raiders of the Lost Ark on the big screen tonight. Still one of my all-time favorite movies ever.
If you ask me what my favorite movie is, chances are "Raiders of the Lost Ark" will be the first words out of my mouth.
The summer Raiders came out, my brother, my cousin, and I spent at least one afternoon a week at the movie theater watching the movie. The whole summer. Mother would drop us off at the old theater, and it was just fantastic
"Held over for the amazing 20th week!" You know, back before home video, when popular movies were held over during their run.
One of my new favorite things about the movie? No CGI. All the SFX are practical, which makes them all that much more impressive.
If Hollywood ever had the insane stupidity to remake the movie (and it pains me to even write such a thing. Blasphemy!), you know who I'd want in the lead role.
