I finished up another couple of projects while Geo was gone this weekend.
This is the same stitch pattern as the
"Olympic affy." I call this one the Easter affy because I was working on it during rehearsals for the Easter play, and because the color combination reminds me of Easter eggs.

This one is a basic chevron or ripple pattern. I'm not sure I like the variegated yarn between the solid bands. I'll probably do this one again, only with white in the place of the variegated. I'm also trying to duplicate the pattern and counts that my grandma (or great aunt) used in my afghan. I've got a way to go on that score, though.

I'm also learning what types and textures of yarn I like to work with. (I'm a rather tactile person, and yarn texture is part of why I enjoy crochet.) There are several projects I want to try, but I don't like to have too many projects going on at once. I don't want to get in the habit of leaving projects unfinished.
