1. I miss the Roadhouse. It would have been neat to have that continuing point of contact and the occasional glimpse into the larger hunting subculture. I like the idea of the the Brothers Winchester having at least a small support network. I can understand, from a storytelling POV, keeping them insular (actually, I can see most hunters working this way--a small network of trusted cohorts, a professional civility with everyone else), but it'd be nice to at least hear about Ellen and/or Jo. You know? As it is at the beginning of "Playthings," it's almost like Ellen is their captain/dispatcher, suggesting hunts from a central locale.
2. When Sam makes Dean promise that Dean will kill Sam if Sam becomes something he's not? I couldn't help but think to myself, "That's exactly what Dean was doing when he tried to detox you, dude. He was keeping his promise. Not that he was actually gonna pull a trigger, but if you were gonna die from the detox, he wanted you to die human. Just like you asked here."
