So what they took away the holidays of both presidents Washington and Lincoln and made their holidays into "president's day." Go ahead and cry over John McCain not voting for Martin Luther King's holiday, but you don't see one holiday to commemorate anyone from the woman's movement who died for that cause. You don't see anyone from the movement for better wages for all American's who died for that cause getting recognized. We name the worst streets in America after Martin Luther King to try to uplift the areas and still they are the worst areas. I wouldn't walk down any street named after Martin Luther King, because I will probably get shot (even if I was black). This is unfortunate. People cannot even appreciate Martin Luther King enough to not kill each other in their own neighborhoods so what is a holiday going to do for these sorts of people. Maybe we should have had Malcolm X day instead. ;) This just shows McCain is being a good representative (tongue in cheek).
I am not racist, but the black people (excluding military) in my immediate area are not like anyone I have met. They are so racist and they misrepresent everyone else who is black in the entire country. Southerners see this and make their judgments. People who have grown up around black people in other parts of the country and see these people scratch their heads. I was called a stupid pregnant cracker at the wic office by a social worker to another social worker because they count my husband's income who I have been separated from and it shouldn't count anyway. They interjected their religious beliefs as well saying that I should go back to my husband. I said, "did you know that homicide is the leading cause of death in pregnant woman?"
My point, Michelle Obama. Barack Obama said in his last debate that he learns everything he does wrong from his wife. His wife is a horrible person. She needs to keep her mouth shut like how she says she has never been proud of her country until Barack ran (going back to what about Martin Luther King?)
