Bloody typical! I finally find myself a local job that's interesting, pays enough for me to live on, with a fantastic boss, and I come down with a horrific cold after 2 weeks there.
New boss has been fantastic about it - told me to go home early when I struggled in on Monday & Tuesday, then sent me home the moment he set eyes on me on Wednesday with strict orders to see a doctor then go to bed, and told me not to worry about anything until next week and just to rest & recover.
I worried about wasting the GPs time for a mere cold (however bad) but she said I was right to come in - something to do with my temperature being 102f, plus hardly able to breathe and massive coughing fits from just walking from the waiting room to her office I guess. No sign of a chest or sinus infection as yet so the usual home remedies + a prescription for Ventolin, with house rest until next week.
