My Dog
So, I will be taking Gizmo a week from today. FYI, Gizmo is a three-pound Yorkie that my mom got a while back. And Richard, my step-dad, doesn't like small dogs. He also has anger issues, and the dog got in his way a month ago. In the end, Gizmo's leg was broken. The vets put it in a cast.
And then I got bad news today... Gizmo's leg won't heal. And doing the $2000 surgery to splint it with metal doesn't look like it will help. So, his leg is going to be amputated. When my mom told me this, she asked me if I still wanted to take him even though he'll be losing his leg.
Of course I'll still take him. I feel so sorry for Gizmo, and I hope that he will be able to deal with this and still be a happy dog.
