Remembering my Great-Grandma: Norma Evelyn Clifford
NORMA EVELYN CLIFFORD
1923-2009
Evelyn Clifford, age 85 of Pensacola, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2009. Mrs. Clifford was a native and life long resident of Pensacola and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a former Escambia County school bus driver.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Robert Allen "Bob" Clifford; sisters, Edith Heath, Ann Henderson, and Sarah Bunn; brothers, Jimmy Miller and HC Miller.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William David Clifford, Sr.; two daughters, Judy McCormick (David) and Linda Clifford; son, William David "Bill" Clifford, Jr. (Hollice); six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Katherine Pate; brother, Jerry Miller (Rose); a special friend, Modi Wynne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Kirkland, and Rev. Jack Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel South from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 12.
