I Won't Post This On FA.

The drama has been done and passed, nor do I want some random fur's opinion, but I must say that I feel rather badly for Daniel_Kay and the banner he did for Fur Affinity.

When I first logged on at 8am on the American Turkey Day I saw the banner and the following thoughts occurred to me:

A) Oh! It must be Thanksgiving in the States.
B) Meh, Fat furs are not appealing.
C) At least they don't look gross. They sort of look pillowy, like those over-stuffed plush toys you see once in a while.

Then I went to look at art, saved what I liked and nuked the rest, then went to the journals--that's when I sighed and shook my head. The place was in flames. Over a silly, non-offensive drawing, something that was seen once on Futurama when Bender gained massive weight. And it went on and on and is still continuing to.

But what really got me was that the banner was taken down. That infuriated me because that is censorship and those that know me, understand that I HATE HATE!!!! censorship. I even disagree with censoring Cub art, even though I think it is morally wrong.

Very briefly the banner went back up at around 4pm and I was satisfied, by 11pm when I woke up it was gone again and Dragoneer mentioned how childish furs were.

The real funny thing is that the picture (as of this writing) currently has 3221 views, which I would hazard is the Most viewed piece of art on FA and in a single day no less. The link is thus in case you wish to see what the big deal was: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1745704/

I may put him on watch, depends on the rest of his gallery. I wish to God people would grow up, if we could put that kind of effort toward more important issues we might just improve the earth. But I don't think anyone is listening to me.
