POTC2: Brief comments, spolier-free
Yes, I have now seen the movie, and my reaction is the last one I expected.
I don't care.
Yes, the CGI is flawless, if too dark for my personal taste. The action sequences on the ships and the beach must have required incredible effort from all involved.
But I see movies primarily for the characters and the relationships among them, and I simply don't care about these people. Yes, James is different, but it didn't bother me. It just didn't matter.
On the POTC1 DVD, Orlando Bloom talked about how "you come out of the theater just bubbling" and he was right. I did, then.
I am 100% bubble-free tonight.
