(no subject)
Eric got a job far, far away which is good, because it means we will be forced to be apart. Which is what I wanted, but it kindof sucks because I enjoy hanging out with him so much....Being unable to see each other will be beneficial, it will force me to make new friends/fuck buddies, to get into other hobbies, etc....Still, makes me feel a bit glum...here's hoping the date I have set up for this Friday goes well...it would be nice to get a few more regular people in my life.
Need to revise list of goals, add more...take out the coffee thing since it's obviously never going to happen.
Graduated Sunday/Monday...not sure how I feel about the events. I don't like big ceremonies...so much pomp and rules and formality. It makes it feel important, but also daunting. I don't regret going, but I'm not sure I would have regretted *not* going either....Got a nice graduation gift from my mom...jewelry, which I expected but was a bit surprised at the ring she got me. I've been eyeing it for months and months, always saying it was too much and it would just have to be a fantasy that I'd own it one day. No idea if I'll ever go to something that warrants this ring...fuck I love it. Could be seen as tacky, maybe that's why it was in the clearance section of the store for so long but egads, a big shiny ring does make me happy. Now that I have a nice piece of jewelry as a graduation gift, I'll concede to it being better than getting a piece of technology that will fall apart or die in 5 years....Whenever I wear it, I'll be able to think of the achievement it represents.
now....must clean apartment. Some days I like practicing being a slob, and I'm happy to say I'm a very efficient slob. I can make a serious mess
So, I had a date scheduled for tonight and the guy bailed. Said his GPS was stolen (he lives in the country about an hour away). So, bummer because I was trying to pump myself up to enjoy the date rather than feel terrified the whole time. Thinking positively I will note that because I was getting ready for this date I: learned how to hook my bra so you it's racerback style, did my dishes, washed my floors, and made my bed. Excitin
