GOSSIP GIRL

The following actually happened once, but I feel this conversation could be played out with any/all my boyfriends and friends -- past, present, future. I should just be prepared for no one to understand my love of Gossip Girl.

INT. NORITA, BOARD GAME CAFE - Day

Four people; one booth; somewhere, a television...

"Oh hang on, they're playing Gossip Girl right now!"
"Really? You watch that? [snort of derision] I mean..."
"It's a compelling show, okay?!"
"Whatever. Should you be putting your feet up against the wall like that?"
"It's a brick wall -- are you afraid it'll leave a mark or something? Because it won't. Look, [taps wall with feet] it'll be fine."
"They might tell you off."
"No one's telling me off. Do you actually just want me to get off your stomach?"
"Nope, genuine concern for the wall. You can keep your head there. [beat] What the hell is even going on?"
"That lady, Lily, she's trying to cover up a secret child she had as a teenager with the guy from that last scene. Their son has found out his true identity and is in the city looking for them. The woman over there is her mother, and I think she's sick -- cancer or something. OH MY GOD SHE'S FALLING! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!"
"Why do you even watch this, seriously?"
"I like the drama"
"Oh my god you guys, this is so boring. Let's just play Jenga. I'm calling someone over to give us Jenga."
"LET ME PRESS THE BUTTON!"
