I finally had my official interview with Dr. Whitehead today (for those of you keeping score, he's the head of the development office here at the school, whom I've been chasing for four months trying to convince that I'd be perfect for his administrative assistant job). Anywho, the interview went great, and I know he likes me, but unfortunately there is now competition. And not just ho-hum competition: somebody who may actually be more qualified than me! Grr! As Dr. Whitehead put it: On a scale of 1-10, I'm evidently a 9.8. Well, this person got a whoppin' 10. GRR!!! Now, that's not to say that I won't get the job--Dr. Whitehead is still thinking about it and he said he's not sure which direction he's going to go, but I have to admit, that wasn't the most encouraging part of the conversation. I need a job at the school. That's just a fact. I just really hope I don't have to become an admissions councilor...that doesn't sound like much fun to me. Guess we'll see.
My parents arrive in two days! Yay!
I have a test tomorrow I haven't studied for! Nay!!
I have another test I haven't studied for! And a paper I haven't started writing!! Sheesh.
I really am becoming a slacker.
