Smallfoot Soundtrack
Smallfoot is released last night, so is Smallfoot's soundtrack. Here are two songs that Channing sings in the movie. Channing is not a singer, but an actor singing in a movie. I can understand why Channing would not want to sing live. He needs a song that is specifically written within his voice range.
I will see the movie next Tuesday. When I read movie reviews online, I get this feeling - There're a lot of cynical adults out there, but Warner Bros. is targeting young kids 6-12, I think it will hit the target.
In other news, Channing told Variety that he's ready to go back to work, but he is not sure what he will do next, acting, producing or directing. Then according to IGN, producer Simon Kinberg （director-writer on Dark Phoenix） gave a update on the Gambit movie.
"When you look at Gambit, he’s a hustler and a womanizer and we just felt like there was an attitude, a swagger to him, that lent itself to romantic comedy. You know, when I say romantic comedy, I use that term loosely, in the same term that I use the term western for Logan loosely. It’s not like they’re gunslingers at high noon in Logan. It’s just a vibe. And I would say the vibe of Gambit has a romantic or sex comedy vibe to it. While it is also still very much a superhero movie with villains and heroes, as all these movies are."
We will see when Channing shows up on set.
Finally, Jenna Dewan's team took the opportunity of Channing's new movie coming out, and let People magazine know that both she and Channing are casually dating new people now (read the original article, it's mainly her sources talking). I have long suspected the divorce has something to do with Jenna wanting fame for herself, judging from her behaviors post split, I think I am not wrong. Anyway, I am looking forward to Channing moving on, and I hope he will start to work in front of camera again.
Update: It looks like the trailer for Rocket Man will come out on Monday. I am not a fan of Taron Egerton, but he might be good for this role. Also Jamie Bell is in it, so I will check it out at some point.
