I first didn't even recognize Jamie in that first fic !
It's great that he tries different kind of roles. I'm sure he can be very convincing asma hateful extremist and then as a man who evolves and reakises what he has done. He is a very good actor who can showcase a variety of intense emotions, but he is still under the radar.

I remember you got to see the Liverpool film this fall. It is just coming out on the screens in my neck of the woods and critics are impressed by him. I'm glad he got at least recognized by the Bafta. It is also nice what his wife did for him. They really support and root for each other.

I miss Channing'charm and confidence on the screen. I wish we got to see him more often. That said I hope he comes back in something else than the Kingsmen, even though I really like his agent Tequila. He deserves way better than to be a supporting player in a sequel. Besides, as you know, I never enjoyed that series that much.

Yes, I watched Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool last September. The performances are fine, but the movie is not very good. I guess I am not the target audience. Jamie looks good in it though. Have you watched it yet?

Channing needs a commercial hit now. He hasn't headlined a movie grossing over 100M in North America since 2014's 22 Jump Street. I am not a big fan of the Kingsman franchise, but it helps Channing to reach a wider audience oversea. Also they are talking about a Statesman spin-off. But I don't see it happen after Kingsman 3.

I am really looking forward to Channing's next live action movie. He needs to work in front of camera again, sooner the better.

No, it is opening in one theater, I think, this coming Friday. I had considered maybe watching it in theater for Jamie. Since the film is so-so, maybe I'll rent later instead.
There are still some other movies I'd like to catch before the Oscars.

Yes, Channing has so much potential. It should not go to waste.

Do you think Gambit is ever going to happen? Or maybe a 3rd Magic Mike?

Channing already has that Magic Mike Live show, which is his cash cow. The next step is to open the show in either London or Amsterdam. There is also a Magic Mike broadway show coming up. He does not need Magic Mike 3. I think financially, he’s secure.

Speaking of Gambit, losing three directors makes people lose confidence in this project. But we don’t know what exactly happened. I wonder if there’s someone either in Disney or Marvel really doesn’t like him playing Gambit. Also I feel Channing might have lost intesest in working in front of camera unless it is a role he really wants to play.

Maybe there is a problem with the script itself. Three directors quitting ship is a bit suspect, more than bad luck. Or the producers don't trust that a much less famous comics can make money ?
