Channing got political

Channing got political and plead young people in Alabama to vote, and some people are not happy about it. Well, I think he just feels he needs to do something so that Roy Moore will not be elected as senator. He said "I am not usually a political person. I liked that Channing at least said something. Too often, actors are told not to speak up but it's important that each person votes.

Yeah, I think Moore will win. I weep for my country.

I actually have reservation regarding celebrities being political out and loud. I am fine with them using their platforms to encourage people to vote or just to state their own views. But if they ask other people to vote for A or B, I won't be too thrilled about that.

Anyway, I think Channing did this second video right. But in a previous post, he linked to a Doug Jones campaign video. That post earned him rude comments like this: "Keep dancing, but stay out of politics". I think I won't ask anyone to stay out of politics, but I also don't like any celebrity trying to influence other's judgement.

It is very rare he gets involved in politics indeed. It must be very important for him and he seems very sincere.
Political ideas are one thing, but abusing girls is quite another and people should not be blinded by political affiliation.
