Channing Tatum's new projects
First, Channing will partner with China's Tencent Pictures to produce a film adaption of Tencent's popular online animated show "Zombie Brother". CT hires new talent David Sandberg to direct the movie. Sandberg created a popular short movie called "King Fury". I remember Channing invited Sandberg to his production company in 2015. I am glad to see CT backing newcomers. I hope he can become a successful producer like Brad Pitt.
Also here is a update on Triple Frontier. It seems the second unit has already started to work on it, but the primary filming won't begin till May. They also cast an actress called Adria Arjona. She is from South America. You may have seen her in True Detective Season 2. Her next big budget movie will be Pacific Rim: Uprising.
I noticed a Japanese CT fan I follow on Twitter is heading to Las Vegas to see Magic Mike Live on its opening night. That's passion. Last night they did a rehearsal. In this Instagram video, you can see Channing asking people not to post video of the show online. He asked the audience to save such an experience for themselves. Channing have been working on this show for two and half years, I hope it become a hit.
Finally, Friday, March 31st is the last day of 2017 Cinema-con. 20th Century Fox will showcase their upcoming movies in a presentation. I think we are going to see something from Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
