Channing is in Cannes now promoting his Vodka. He was interviewed by Cosmopolitan (
video). They asked him a lot questions about his family, his daughter, his wife and his
sex life. (I guess Cosmopolitan readers are into that sort of topics) But some also asked him a few tough questions, such as his opinions on porn and the
Stanford rape.
He was asked about if he could get out without being chased by paparazzi, I really like his answers. Unlike many whining celebrities, he admitted there were a lot more pros than cons of being famous. He said losing privacy is a trade-off, but he made that choice. He only worried about his daughter being dragged into the situation. (I get the impression Channing is the more protective parent in the family. He rarely shows Everly's face from front when posting photos on social media) But in the end, he said there are so many worse things in the world than losing his privacy.
During the talk, Channing also revealed a secret project related to Magic Mike Live. He put himself in a confession booth in New York and talked with a lot of people, men and women, gay and straight. He noticed a lot of the women he talked to were the bread earner of the family, but those women were hoping their partners can earn more. Channing said he was surprised those women were not more proud of the fact they earned more in the family. It was a day's work. Those people couldn't see him. Channing thought it would be a fun day, but it turned out to be emotional. Then the reporter asked him if one day his wife earns more than him, what would he feel. He just said "That would be awesome!" and he said the guys who would feel bad about it was just "dumb". The answers got cheers from the audience.
In the end, the reporter thanked him for being so candid, and said "Channing for President."
PS,
Comic Book Resources interviewed the authors of the new comic series - "Deadpool v Gambit". One of the authors said this:
I watched Channing Tatum's performances in "21 Jump Street" and "22 Jump Street" very closely for inspiration in writing Gambit.
Ha!
PS2, Channing's Twitter Account was hacked briefly in the afternoon.
