Huck and Gambit
Mark Millar is definitely a hustler, a self-promoter. He just said:
Mark, 45, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, has already earmarked 21 Jump Street hunk Channing Tatum to play the main role, described as a cross-between Superman and Forrest Gump.
The Hollywood producer says: “I think Rihanna will be perfect for this.
“She would be ideal as the female lead as the beautiful girl in town who Huck has a major crush on.”
The Barbadian singer’s only previous acting experience was playing petty officer Cora Raikes in the 2012 film Battleship.
But despite that Mark reckons the 27-year-old still ticks all the boxes.
He added: “Rihanna’s incredibly charismatic and has a warm face, which is what the role needs.
“I also think she’s a really good actor. She and Channing Tatum are my top choices.”

Simon Kinberg: Gambit will have its own different flavor and tone to it, will be more of like a heist movie and a sexy thriller in a way. …we have a director in (this was said before the Doug Liman news broke out) and I don’t know if I’m allowed to say who it is yet because his deal isn’t done, but it’s somebody we’re excited about, and somebody I adore, and hopefully we can make an announcement soon about that. But we’ve been spending a lot of time together-Channing, [Reid Carolin, Tatum’s producing partner], [screenwriter Joshua Zetumer], the director, and myself-just working on the script, and we hope to start shooting next spring.
Since the fall start date is no longer happening, Kinberg all but confirmed that Fox’s previously announced October 7, 2016 release is out of the cards. More than likely, we’ll see Gambit and his sexy heist some time in 2017.
