Golden Globes & Jupiter Ascending
Golden Globes was held last Sunday. Foxcatcher did not win anything (not surprised). Now I am hearing Sony Pictures Classics might change their strategy to move Steve Carell to the Supporting category following Foxcatcher's two BAFTA Awards Best Supporting Actor nominations. Why didn't they do it in the first place? Also I noticed Golden Globes didn't give Channing a nomination, but they asked him to introduce Foxcatcher on the show. I guess they know Channing's fans might watch their show if they know he will be there. The higher rating the better. I didn't watch it live.
Anyway, let's talk about the results. Before the show, people are talking about Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne are two front runners. It turned out to be true. Golden Globes separated the two candidates in two categories: Drama and Comedy / Musical. Therefore they both won something. On Twitter, Jamie Bell was live tweeting. When Eddie won, Jamie wrote Eddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I remember, when Channing and Jamie was filming The Eagle in Budapest, Eddie was there filming The Pillars of the Earth. They all went to pub together.
In two days. Oscar nominations will be revealed. Let's see who is IN, and who is OUT. I am rooting for Boyhood and Michael Keaton.
