I was browsing Instagram this afternoon, and saw a few fan encounter photos of Channing. The comments are in a language I don't know, but I caught the keyword Oslo. It turned out that Channing was there to visit Norwegian author Jo Nesbø. They were talking about adapting Nesbø's new book The Son into a movie. Warner Bros. has already bought the movie right. If everything goes well, Channing's company will produce it.
Local media was excited about Channing's visit, they even interviewed him outside the restaurant. I always like watching Channing's interview. He is very media savvy. For example, in this clip, around 1'10", a reporter asked him "what do you think about the Norwegian girls?" Channing immediately claimed he didn't see any Norwegian girl because was married, then he joked about that they did not exist in his world. But realising this might be misquoted, he added "I am sure they are beautiful". Another reporter asked him if he had read Nesbø's books (2'04"), he answered "I have read a few of them". Then the reporter asked him to name a few, he could only name "The Son". So he corrected himself by saying "That's it. Actually I haven't read a few." This was followed by his signature self-aware laugh, and bumping shoulders with the author himself. I think he handled the situation very well.
I really hope Channing will have more success in producing movies. In 15 years, he could become his generation's Brad Pitt or George Clooney.

PS, Eva Green jumped to #1 on IMDb's StarMeter. I am very happy for her.
