Jamie looks so tiny beside Channing ;p During an interview, Channing told Jamn945.com (a Boston radio) that he originally auditioned for Esca. But in the end, they swtiched the characters. So now the Roman is the bigger guy, the Briton is the smaller one.
I have a speculation. There is a clip - Chariot Attack. In this clip this man got a few close-up shots (update: it seems the man is the Shaman of the tribe). I suspect he is Esca's father. I think in this movie Marcus got injured during the battle with Esca's father. And Esca was there when Marcus' father got killed by Esca's tribe people about 12(?) years ago.
Also, during this Sunday's Super Bowl, we are expecting to see a possible new trailer for The Eagle. A 30-second ads during the most-watched event of the year (in the US) ran the studios roughly $3 million this year. Foucus Feature really puts some money into promoting the film. If the movie makes more than 10M in its opening week, then it's pretty good. I don't think it will be a big hit though.
