Here is a more detailed
synopsis of 3x13. I wonder is it necessary to make Morgana that evil? Worse than Uther? I mean, if all Arthur's experiences with magic are bad, how can you expect him to accept Merlin's magic? The writers gotta work more on this before the reveal (if it will ever happen on the show).
In the thrilling final episode of the series, wicked witch sisters Morgause and Morgana have used the immortal army created with the Cup of Life to overthrow Uther and Morgana has been crowned Queen of Camelot.
And what an evil, twisted queen Morgana is. The people of Camelot are suffering badly under her rule and her wickedness makes Uther look almost kindly.
Outside Camelot, safe and desperate to fight for his father and the city he loves, Arthur is building his own army, which includes Gwain (Eoin Macken), Lancelot (Santiago Cabrera), Gwen’s brother Elyan (Adetomiwa Edun) and Percival (Tom Hopper). They’re all good, strong fighters, but can’t defeat an immortal army. Arthur’s strongest weapon is Merlin and his magic. What Merlin needs is the sword Excalibur, but can he retrieve it from the Lake of Avalon in time to rescue Camelot?
There’s a fourth series of Merlin to look forward to in 2011.
