I was really busy today, finally I got the chance to catch up with the fandom. It seems everyone is talking about this photo.
Children In Need program will be aired on BBC One next Friday at 19:00 in UK. Merlin cast's contribution will be in the first half hour. I am not sure if I am able to watch it live in my office. I keep wondering what they will do this year. I came up with this idea of Arthur auctioning his kiss, then Merlin has to find a way of making quick money. If they cannot have a canon A/M kiss on the show itself, do it for charity, okay?
Speak of Auction,
Arthur's armour and
Merlin's scarf are being auctioned on eBay now. It would be interesting to see which item will be sold for a higher price. I need a fic of Bradley buying Melrin's scarf or Colin buying Arthur's armour.
There's a quote from Julian Murphy (the other Merlin producer, the low-key one). He said at that BFI Merlin Preview event "We have ideas obviously about where we might go in the future, but you keep an open mind, because a series like this develops the life of its own, and grows organically in many many ways. Sometimes we'll start out with an idea, by the time we get to it several episodes later it evolved, it becomes a very different idea." Then Johnny Capps joked about it becoming rubbish.
In my opinion the A/M friendship it one of the things which developed life of its own. So why not let it grow organically? The reset of the character relationships at the beginning of S2 is what Johnny Capps called rubbish. (I knew he was joking, but...)
Finally, I am looking forward to tomorrow's Arthur centric episode. But I think it's too packed. I just hope it won't feel rushed in the end. And I also think we'll get the extended S2 trailer which was shown at the Xmas Lights Switch-On event. One thing I really like about the trailer is Merlin was with Arthur when he shot the fire cross bolt. And I have to admit that Bradley delivered the line "Guinevere Run" pretty impressively!
