Skynews The Narnia star is about to hit our screens again, this time in Dorian Gray, the latest adaptation of Oscar Wilde's classic novel. The film is expected to be one of the hits of the autumn but Ben is just happy to get such high-profile work. "I'm just constantly intrigued and excited to be where I am," he told Sky News. "I just love every second of it."
The movie sees Ben team up with Colin Firth for the second time in a year after they starred together in Easy Virtue. Despite Colin's success in the US over the years it seems he is not a good agony aunt.
"Colin's a good mate but a terrible mentor," Ben says. "I ring him about gossip written about me or about a part and he just tells me to tell someone who cares. So he's a terrible mentor but a great, great bloke."
Ben became internationally renowned for his role as Prince Caspian in the last Narnia film. The 28-year-old is currently in Australia filming the latest instalment of the series.
"I'm very, very busy rubbing Ashes victory into everyone's face," the sports fan revealed."It's delicious, I should be concentrating on filming but this is far more exciting." Ben says he is "lucky to have been left alone" despite his success. That could have all been different if he had accepted a role in the Twilight film series. But the next year proves to be a busy one with Ben starring in Dorian Gray, the next Narnia film and a thriller called Valediction. It seems the Englishman's quiet Hollywood life may soon be over.
