Mr. Head = Slash Dragon?

Jun 05, 2009 16:04

Recently Mr. Anthony Head had a few interviews with the Ameican media.

Here is a quote from his IESB interview

"Bradley James (who plays Arthur) is a bit like a son to me, and I’m a bit like a father to him. And, Colin Morgan (who plays Merlin) and Bradley get along really well. They have the same relationship, off screen. He doesn’t push Colin ( Read more... )

Oh my... really, who's left not to slash them anymore?? xD
these guys are too obvious xD
And Tony... he's such an amazing person...♥♥

PS, I was a little disappointed when the reporter asked Colin to tell something about his fight scene with Bradley in the first episode. Colin didn't answer the question, but talked about filming CGI scenes

you know what? I was exactly thinking the same thing. Well to understand Colin's answears was already a challenge. The boy is just too... time-wasting inhis speech xD
...Love him anyway ♥

Well, the reporter did ask about special effects so that's pretty much what Colin talked about in that question.

LOL on ASH. I was talking about it earlier on another post and it's really hilarious in a way. The second quote you have there could be taken any number of ways. When I first read it, I thought that Anthony Head was channeling the slash dragon really well but it's more likely he just means that Bradley and Colin get along great, like mates or brothers rather than just two people hanging out because they are filming together. Every time I see them together, they just seem like close friends. Which is really quite lovely.

> Well, the reporter did ask about special effects so that's pretty much what Colin talked about in that question.

But what the reporter was asking is "Can you talk about shooting THAT scene?", which referred to the magic Colin used during the fight scene.

> but it's more likely he just means that Bradley and Colin get along great, like mates or brothers

I am more interested in the fact - Mr. Head starts to talk about Bradley and Colin's on-and-off screen odd-couple relationship. It has never happened before. So is this something new he noticed during the shooting of Series 2?

Hee! Maybe because Bradley and Colin are playing MarioCarts with each other instead of Bradley borrowing ASH's Nintendo all the time and ASH finally noticed their odd-couple relationship? :P Or maybe it just got more noticable in season 2 (in which case ASH was blind in season 1... LOL).

I adore you explanation. Bradley desn't need to borrow NDS from Tony any more, Tony must feel a little bit disappointed. We need a story of Bradley/Colin/Tony/NDS.

It's kind of funny that you posted this...because I was kind of thinking that a little when I read his interview ;). I was also wondering in that second reference (the teleconference one) about what "romance" AH was referring to. Because I didn't see any real romance in the first season, personally. Except maybe if you consider the subtext of Merlin and Arthur....haha ;). It sounds like Bradley and Colin have a really cute relationship. I love it! :)

Well, maybe Arthur/Sophia, Lancelot/Gwen can be counted as romance?

> It sounds like Bradley and Colin have a really cute relationship.

Poor Tony is "confused" because he doesn't know how to play multi-player NDS games.

hmmm yes Mr Head is sending out coded messages for the fandom I swear it. I think we just tune in and read the dots and dashes.

And yes speaking of tuned out Mr Morgan does enjoy answering all the other questions except the one he was asked. He did it four or five times at Expo. Remember what teacher says at all the exams? Read the question. stop. Read the question. repeat.

I think he must get nervous in interview situations and its like his words evacuate down an escape chute! Except notably on GMTV with BJ he was lucid and held together. Both ASH and Richard Wilson give such good answers. The young ones need more practice.

Hehe. So do you agree that maybe ASH started to notice things going on between B/C recently? In February, when Merlin began to air in Southeast Asia, in interviews, TONY didn't mention this at all. No mention of if to Australia media as well.

> Remember what teacher says at all the exams? Read the question. stop. Read the question. repeat.

That' right. He didn't pay attention to the question the reporter was asking. Bad student!

I agree. I think Colin is just very nervous about being interviewed. He seemed much more relaxed with Bradley next to him on GMTV. :D Poor baby.

Ah Anthony. :D I already let you know about my thoughts in another comment, but I did wanted to add that it's possible that he's making a note of it (Bradley/Colin, Arthur/Merlin) because American's are in love with those kind of relationships. And for the people that have not seen Merlin before, and love those kind of relationships, well, jackpot! I don't know how famous or what not these kind of guy relationships are in Asia or Australia, but American's do love guy relationships with friction. They like to call them "Bromance". Arthur/Merlin will probably be called that if they become famous over here in the states.

And Colin, oh Colin. He tends to stray from the topic when he answers. LOL. Completely forgets to actually answer the question. *g*
