First Roadtrip of the Summer: Conquered

Jun 16, 2013 23:10

Well, I'm still tired, but I made it home from the anniversary party for my aunt and uncle. Montana is very, very pretty, but also very hilly. Though admittedly, it seemed moreso today than it did on Friday, but whatever. While we were there, I sort of gained a pair of ducklings in the form of two of my three second cousins on that side of the family. Ahnika, the oldest daughter of my oldest cousin, brought up anime after seeing my Saeki phone case for my iPhone, so we at least had something to talk about, though she's much more into Naruto and the ships there than I am. And yes, at fifteen and a half, she knows yaoi. She came pre-corrputed!! Malia, who is six and a half and the only child of my youngest cousin, follows Ahnika like a duckling, so she followed me around by default. Gotta say, I was really impressed with her. Not once did she have a meltdown or throw a fit or really get upset over anything. Though I have to say, the best part was the two little puppies, Duke and Domino. Both boys came from the same litter, and since they were an accidental breeding, got to go to their forever homes for free. They are Dachsund/ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mixes, and fast as all hell. They also spent the majority of the time wrestling and play fighting for dominance. I am also really sick of LJ being such a douchenozzle and not letting my enter key work.

Here is my aunt Cora with Duke and Domino on her lap. Duke is the black and tan one, and he belongs to her and my uncle Ed.

This is Domino conked out in a chair next to me.

This is Duke and Domino both chewing on an old sock. I love how Domino's ears got flipped inside out, it happened a lot.
