I really hope so! I just hope that if the only medication for it is birth control, which is what I'm hearing is the case, that I can get my insurance to cover it.
i think under the new health care laws, insurance has to cover birth control. i just read an article about that on yahoo because it had some interesting stats in it.
anyway, *huge hugs* good luck with the rest of the tests. as i've said, anything with the word surgery attached is not a good thing. but getting healthy is.
on an off topic note, my OBGYN helped deliver me. it's hard to be uncomfortable with such a grandpa figure. he's a doll.
I sure hope so. Though I'm not sure I understand how that's going to help with the cysts. *shrug* I'm also not a doctor, so what the hell do I know? lol
*huge hugs back* Thanks~. I hope it goes well. My mom is going to go with me because she has questions on top of all the questions I need to write down.
Pretty sure the OBGYN who delivered me has retired. Several years ago too, I think. But I'll have a female doctor, which will be nice. If she's better than my old general practitioner who never listened to me.
probably something to do with balancing out the hormone production, but who knows. :) as long as it works, that's what matters. on one of my blood draws, years ago, the doctor took three fairly large vials of blood for tests, and i asked what they were all for. he said that one was for blood cell counts, iron and other basic tests. one was for the more involved tests, and one was going on a sunny windowsill.
it'll be good to get all your questions answered, and i'm glad your mum is taking an interest in your health. that always works out well in the end because they usually have questions that we forget or don't have.
i'll probably end up with a female when mine retires. i've only been a couple of times, but might be back in the next few months depending on if the pain in my hip is linked to hormones or not. i think it is, but we'll see what the doc says.

Isn't it hilarious? I almost want to print it and keep it with me for when I have to go to the doctor. Much more accurate. LOL
