See, that's what a minority party looks like: unable to compete in any place except a certain region.
Tim Pawlenty (R. Gov MN): "We cannot be a majority governing party when we essentially cannot compete in the Northeast, we are losing our ability to compete in Great Lakes States, we cannot compete on the West Coast, we are increasingly in danger of competing in the Mid-Atlantic States, and the Democrats are now winning some of the Western States," he said. "That is not a formula for being a majority governing party in this nation."
"And similarly we cannot compete, and prevail, as a majority governing party if we have a significant deficit, as we do, with women, where we have a large deficit with Hispanics, where we have a large deficit with African-American voters, where we have a large deficit with people of modest incomes and modest financial circumstances," he said. "Those are not factors that make up a formula for success going forward."
Straight from the Elephant's Ass! These are the cold, hard facts. As America becomes increasingly diverse, the relevance of the GOP is plummeting. The nutjobs may score temporary "victories" like with Prop 8 in CA (and that will probably be thrown out as Unconstitutional), but the younger generations are overwhelming democratic and tolerant of diversity.
So, for the loser Freeper who feels the need to stalk my journal, CONGRATULATIONS. Now I'll just post fun factoids for you on how irrelevant your party has become. Granted, you've got a brain the size of a peanut so I doubt it will do you any good.

As compared to 2004, with the exception of the deep South, nearly the entire country trended MORE Democratic this election.
