Poor Punk
He called me this morning all excited because Dave Chappelle announced a surprise show in Seattle this Sunday. (Yay, alliteration!) It was about 9:45 and tickets went on sale at 10. For some reason, I couldn't get to Ticketmaster because of a server error. So he went to the nearest outlet and waited until 10. The guy there had apparently never used the system before because it took him 6 minutes to figure out how it worked. By then the show was sold out. Punk was fairly angry. I just looked on ebay and there are over 20 auctions from ticket brokers. Fuckers.
So a few hours later he finds out, after a month of his bosses hemming and hawing, what day he'll be leaving for a conference. It's a Monday morning, great! That means we can go to the She Wants Revenge show the night before! And it's only $11/ticket! Yep. Sold out.
This Saturday we're going to see one of his old professors give a reading at Elliott Bay. At least we know THAT won't sell out. They're not selling tickets.
