I went to a festival in town today called the Festival of Forks. Apparently Albion used to be called Forks, because it is at the fork in the Kalamazoo River. One of my professors mentioned that there is always great food there, so I went, expecting delicious food. But there was no food. No, none at all. I was very disappointed. I'm full now, though, because I just ate dinner in the dining hall. Not bad, but I would've enjoyed festival food a little more. I'm going to the movies tonight, to see Suspect Zero. I have no idea what it's about, but what do I care, it's FREE baby! (College students get in for free). Don't worry we won't be zebras. I should probably explain that, huh? At the beginning of the year, we had to go to a lecture called "Don't be a zebra". It was basically about not putting yourself in bad situations. For example, don't walk alone at night downtown, because you might die, and so on. So our hall has a little saying. "We're not zebras, we be tigers!" It's a battle cry of sorts I guess. So we'll be careful. I'm wearing my shirt with a tiger on it, just so everyone knows that I'm not a zebra, but a tiger.
I did laundry today! I was very excited. It was my first time using the laundry machines here, because I just brought my laundry home for Labor Day last time it needed done. Nothing turned pink! I did good! Aren't you proud?!
