if not, and if you're inclined to accept an offer of one the new generation of 'em (which stay smart if you change supplier), i'd strongly suggest she (& you?) make your acceptance of the electric's kind offer of one/them dependent upon their raising all wiring & incoming cabling above the cellar - and thereby rendering the power circuits less liable to flood damage *and* reducing the hazard to your, her & wendy's lives and health . . .
(nancy asked after you - she came up to darkest cumbria ten days ago - before there was any solid^W liquid news this ppint. knew of, nor any other recent roobarbnews that i could pass on to her.)
ask next visiting qualified electrician about overenthusiasticism in trip switches ?
eventually electricity supply must be smartmetered by law - they'll have to move it then. at their own cost.
will do, definitely.
no; don't know how to. fb don't have any obvious way for me to email or whatever to contact them - i sent them three or four photos of official correspondence incl. bank statements (their helppages say two's enough to prove i exist and live here) on the "prove you're real + live where you say" form - but they've done nothing to give me my account back.
ok-ish, thanks - arthritis in knees not too good - and, i hope so - if invited ("a bit like dracula, but... ..different" - ?) and told when.
Mums electricity all went off except for lights, thankfully they have fires and gas cooker. But we're doing most stuff in mine.
When water in cellars is low enough we can get man out to check it

*greatly* relieved to hear from you; thank-you.

Her problem is an over enthusiastic trip switch, which she can't switch back because its still a paddling job to get to it.
Elec board refuse to move meters and fuse boxes but say we can pay. We're not very inclined.
Give Nancy my love when you next speak.
I wasn't sure you were on here, did you get FB sorted?
Glad to here from you, are you ok and will we see you in December?
