Abingdon, VA

Back in Abingdon, VA. I'm here for the summer. Sorry to anyone I didn't get to see, except Alex and West, who were too lazy to come see me, even though I went all the way to where you guys were. Anyway, I determined that I stayed at home for 3 days (4 nights) between college and my summer job. I'm here ready to ride, ride, ride. Unfortunately, I cannot compete as much as I would like, since someone else is using my horse. I didn't get in to the show next weekend, so I cannot compete my alternate horse then, either. My first show on Vala isn't until mid June. I will be studying for my two ratings this year in ponyclub, my H-A and my B. After those two, only one more rating left, which very few people ever attain. I'm getting up there, I suppose. I'm also looking at North American Young Rider Championships, which I might have to push back from next summer to two summers from now, since training and selection starts mostly in the spring, and I'll be in Denmark next spring studying abroad, so even if I found a place to keep a horse up there, I wouldn't be able to ride/compete when I'm an ocean away.

I just found out that I'll be returning August 20th, which is a Monday I believe, or whatever Monday is around the 20th. I'm off to college on the 25th/26th (undecided as of yet), so mark your calenders, I want to see you guys SOME time! I'm back on livejournal, since I have a whole lot of free time in the evenings compared to the school year, but I'm also on email. Use my school address, which is kcomer1@swarthmore.edu, if you guys want to contact me. Have excellent summers, but keep in touch.
