It was Princess Di at first; but then, the young singer/actor Aaliyah died in a plane crash on August 25, 2001. I was sick (physically and emotionally) at that time and it hit me harder than it normally would have; I mean, I hadn't really known much about her except that I had seen her in the movie Romeo must die and I had watched her on a couple talk shows since her acting career was taking off. She was very young. And then, 9/11 happened a few weeks after and really put me through a whirlwind.

After that, it was Kevin Smith: the actor who played the Greek god of war, Ares, in the Hercules: LJ and Xena: WP. He died February, 15 2002 in a freak accident. Boy, I adored that man! He was beautiful and so sexy and he could be sooo funny.
