Went to jail
I went to the Harris Co. jail to see my son, Brian Jr. It is still surreal to me that he robbed a bank. I took Ginnie and her girls to see the girls' dad who is on a different floor. How White Trash do I feel? "Ever-one ah know is in jay-uhl." The best part came when I came out to find my car in a boot. I had forgotten to bring parking money and instead of the usual $35 ticket on the windshield ..... I stood there reading the notice stuck to my car door and lightning flashed, thunder boomed and it suddenly started pouring rain. I just stood there for a few seconds in disbelief before digging for my keys. It was like a scene from some comedy I guess. I think I got outta the $100 boot fee - I only signed a receipt for $27 on my card and they didn't ask for more. Hopefully they don't mail me a bill.
Ginnie is going to have her baby within a week - the doc will induce her the 30th if she hasn't had her by then. The adopting parents are very excited too. Open adoption is a wonderful thing.
