Oh joy, kids! On Monday morning, the 19th the medical community is going to venture up my 'personal place' (va-gi-na) and remove my 'oven' (u-ter-us) with scalpels and lasers. They promised me that they would stitch up and clean up after themselves.
Ok, yeah, I'm a little nervous. It's major surgery but not dangerous. I'll know if I've survived after I wake up. It should only take about an hour, tops.
The worst thing is that I have to get up at 6am the next morning to go home and follow a fairly strict recovery routine. Which thankfully includes lots of naps and a goodly amount of pain meds as needed.
I found out at my pre-op and pre-registration that I go in at 8:30am, take my dumb CPAP machine for snoring/sleep apnea prevention, pay a $200 co-pay, and have surgery under a general anesthesia, go home at 6:30am the next morning. The usual pre-op no-food-or-drink-past-midnight rule applies, of course.
I also found out that it isn't a good to take the evil spouse to the doctor with me. He spent the time being annoyed about not being at work. I know how I rate in the family priorities.
If I don't post before Monday - well, I won't be posting Monday, but I don't post much anymore anyway.
