Dean was not going to let his brother take the bus. Buses were gross.

He was sitting in the parking lot, leaning against the Impala as he waited for Sam to exit. She didn't get driven as much as she used to, now that he usually wound up using the company cars a lot of the time -- less conspicuous -- but he still loved getting out and driving her when he could. Getting Sam out of rehab just happened to be one of those times.

When he spotted Sam's head over the rest of the people walking out the door, he straightened a bit and gave Sam a wave, trying to get his attention.

Sam grinned as he saw his brother. He bee-lined for Dean, fighting against the wind and the blinding effect of his bangs to be able to make it there.

"I was wondering who would end up drawing the short straw to pick me up."

He grinned back. "More like I threatened to kick the ass of anyone who tried to get in my way."

"Aw, I'm touched." He pulled his brother into a hug. "I missed you too," he added softly.

Dean hugged his brother back, just relaxing a little more at the fact that he was actually taking his brother home as oppose to leaving him there. After a moment, he pulled back to look his brother over.

"You look good, Sammy."

Sam chuckled and looked away a bit. "Thanks. I actually feel really good. Better than I've ever felt. The guys showed me how to lift weights and work out to blow of steam."

Dean nodded. "Well, now you look less like a stick. Might actually be able to hold your own in a fight."

"And keep the Chicago winds from blowing me over, apparently. I apparently missed the good weather." He chuckled. He then looked past Dean and saw the Impala. "Wow, you're really happy to see me you brought out your baby for the parade home."

Dean glanced back, before letting his hand rest on the hood gently. "She doesn't get out to drive as much. Figured if there was a time to do it, it was now."

"Well, I'm glad you did. I missed her too. And we can take the long way home if you want."

Dean nodded with a bit of a smile, before pushing up to head to the driver's seat. "Sounds good to me."

"I'd ask to drive, but apparently my license expired back at the end of May." He slipped into the passenger seat.

"Like I'd let you drive anyway," Dean snorted. "You hit the brakes too hard."

"You're the one who taught me, remember?"

"Yeah, but I thought you'd grow out of it eventually. You keep slamming the brakes like a friggin' sixteen year-old."

Sam laughs. "You yelling about me and threatening to kill me if I put a scratch in the car didn't help me on that."
