I'm a father?

Apparently, I have a child now. I've agreed to become Nataku's ('Kazuki' is what I've heard Kamui call him, though) surrogate father, until (when and if) Kamui arrives here.
...and Seishirou-san has agreed to be his 'mother.'

I can't help but wonder how this all worked out.

I just couldn't refuse helping Nataku Kazuki(?), though. I suppose Seishirou- ( Read more... )

Ah! Sumeragi-san! You're here as well... It's nice to see a familiar face! *smiles earnestly* And oh, you've gained a child and a wife? That's so nice! It sounds just like me!

Er...well, Aoki-san...Um.
A child, yes...
But a wife?

Now Sumeragi-san, it's best to have a stable living environment in which your child can live. Now to have their parents separated or arguing is not a stable living environment! *smiles*

Yes, I...I've been told this before. By Kotori-san, of all people.
But you see, Aoki-san...I'm in a rather...strange situation. The child isn't actually mine. And the child isn't actually a child, either. But we'll leave that aside, for now. And believe me, I was never married in the first place. And, lastly...the child's surrogate 'mother' is...well, a little hard for me to get along with. For, um. Various reasons.

You should try your hardest to get along for your child's sake! I'm sure that your wife will agree.

Oh! That's right... You call each other husband and husband then? I'm kind of new to this whole civil union thing...

Although I'm not so sure about him...

*gasp* You mean you have a child and you aren't married?

...That's correct. I'm not married to Seishirou-san. But even if we were--which we aren't!--it wouldn't exactly be, er...possible for us to have a child, Aoki-san. Biologically, at least.

Well still... It's not very good for your child to have divorced parents. It creates tension and competition. You wouldn't want that now would you Sumeragi-san? Perhaps we should remedy this whole "separated" thing.

Aoki-san. We were never 'married' or 'joined' or anything of the sort in the first place.
And I do not wany to 'remedy' that, thank you.

Being married was the greatest thing that ever happened in my life! I just want the best for you Sumeragi-san. At least give it some thought!
