 [Spam for 8th Floor]
Anyone passing by Dracula's door will see the heavy, banded wood shake now and again, and hear faint roaring and crashing inside. This goes on for a considerable period--up to an hour if he is not interrupted.

Then...

She has abandoned me. She reviles me with her words, calls what we had a prison.

Very well. It seems that ( Read more... )

[Vegas likes to roam the boat. He's got the layout memorized by now and knows a couple of good hiding places but the sound of roaring on the other side of the door makes him jump.]

[He's never shied away from anything like that however-some of the other inmates were pretty fucking scary and he could have stood to be a little more cautious.]

[All the same...He's a human, smells like a human-and he's watching the door with interest.]

[After a little while the snarling and crashing finally settles down. There is quiet. Then slowly, the door starts to unlatch, and creaks open.]

[Dracula is a mess. He's in his shirtsleeves, hair askew, ponytail holder gone, earrings missing (and earlobes healing), eyes sunken and feverish with near blind anger.]

[The room beyond him is trashed, furniture overturned, curtain torn down, one chair in literal pieces. Weirdly enough, in the middle of the carnage his communicator, notebooks and a potted plant full of PINK flowers remain untouched on the window seat.]

[He blinks at Vegas in surprise, and then shakes his head, pushing himself out into the hallway and shoving the door closed.]

Excuse me for the noise.

[He blinks. U mad bro?]

Didn't bother me. I was walking and thought there was a good fight going on. Figured I might join in.

[He grins like a kid at that before noting how distraught the vampire looks] You okay there fella?

[Dracula pushes his hair out of his eyes and looks at the human whose company he has actually enjoyed a few times. Shrugs. There is only one explanation to this that any male can likely understand, and that is, at least in part, the truth.]

Wife left me.

I need a drink. Do you need a drink? I need a drink.

[He keeps his distance, and his eyes off Vegas's neck, but his hands keep clenching and unclenching.]

Sometime before Vegas drops by, maybe? mrs_persson May 5 2011, 18:17:29 UTC
[Your next door neighbour is missing the days when your room was empty, Vlad. Una opens her door and, still standing in the doorway, poses a loud general question to every one in the surrounding area.]

What the hell is going on out here?

[The crashing stops, but a low animal snarl comes through the door. Then it slams open and Dracula sticks his head out with his face contorted.]

Humans! You whine about noise when I could be tearing your brethren up instead of my room. Why don't you shut your silly hole and leave me be?

[Sigh. Notably, she doesn't flinch at the look on his face or at the shouting.]

Look, I'm sorry you're having a crap day, but around here, that much noise usually means that someone is getting hurt. [A pointed look.] No one's getting hurt, are they?

...

[The fury seems to drain out of him partially, and he shakes his head.]

No, no, none of the precious humans have been subject to my rage, even those who thoroughly deserve it.

The only one done harm was me. But no mortal would ever sympathize with that.

[The noise stops. After a moment the door unlatches. Dracula is still behind it, struggling to compose himself. He has recognized the voice and finds it a little embarrassing to be so out of sorts around this particular man.]

No. But no humans are hurt, so it does not matter.

Not physically. I am merely...[a thin smile] in the process of severing an attachment.

I just wish I could have done it with an axe.

I half expected it. It is why I delayed, after all.

Apparently much of what she had to do to "redeem" herself was give me up, and accept that I have done terrible things to her and failed her as a husband. Oh, irony.

I am currently up where no one can reach me even by accident. Right now I would tear someone apart just for looking at me strangely.

I understand. I'll do what I need to do to get your cabin cleaned up. If the Admiral is being uncooperative do you mind if I recruit physical laborers?

I have already rolled up my sleeves and done the physical labor. I just need a chair replaced, and my curtain, and the light fixture again.
