So today is May 1st, and it's almost May 2nd. That means...

5 days until prom
9 days until my last day of class
10 days until I turn 18
10 and 11 days until I take my final exams
17 days until I graduate from high school
Some days until various graduation parties
3 months and 8 days until I move into my apartment
3 months and 20 days until my first day of classes at USF

Sweet.

So I went to Grad Nite, and it really wasn't like TONS of fun as I expected. Some people that I've talked to after going were like "OMG it was like the funnest time of my life"... I guess I got shafted? I don't know.

First, the buses are 15 minutes late. Then we are made even later because MY bus is broken or something. The only one out of 8 buses. Sweet. Then, we get on, and discover our AC doesn't work. It's SOOOO hot!!! Like, everyone is passing around paper towels wiping off the sweat that is DRIPPING off of their faces. Gross. Oh, and our bus is also like really dirty/crappy/small, and the VCR doesn't work either. So everybody is complaining because we're hot and cramped and our bus really sucks. Mr. Robishaw got on the phone and tried to get us a new bus, but the best they could do was to split us all up into extra seats on other buses. So that kinda sucked. I stayed on bus 7, along with my friends, and it ended up being pretty cool. We all got our own seats, since only 20 people were on it, and once everyone left it turned out to be like the perfect temperature. But it would've been more fun if we had just had a nice bus to begin with, with everyone on it.

So anyway, there's not a lot to say about the night at the park. I walked around with Dustin, Monica, Kyle, Bonnie, Sebastian, Christina, Jacob Stancil, and Mike Presley. Let me say that before I went to Grad Nite, I was expecting a full night of dancing/meeting hotties. Turns out... I didn't dance. Or meet any hotties. At all. Sweet. We rode basically all of the rides (NO lines... that was an awesome part) and just walked around. We saw Ciara's concert in full, but we were pretty far away and she wasn't too great. We saw maybe half a song of Kevin Lyttle, and maybe two songs of Yellowcard because we happened to be walking by while they were performing. I didn't see Ryan Craberrrreerreaaraarara at all. I wasn't really interested in any of the performers. Yellowcard was kind of okay (I'm a sucker for live emo music), except when they told us they wrote a song about Florida and it clearly said "California" in it. Whatever. Dustin bought one of those things that you spin around and it says something, and he made it say things like "dicks" and "suck it". It was funny. Good thing we're mature adults.

I think I would've had a much better time if I had gone expecting less. I guess I was just disappointed, but it was fun. I was definitely ready to go home though at 3. I wish I had brought my camera in. I didn't want to carry anything because I figured I'd be hardcore dancing.

Oh well. No big deal. I just probably wont remember Grad Nite as one of the most memorable senior events.

Prom better rock my world. Please.
