despite everything bush said in his campaign, american failed to remember where our nation stands; how bush actually acted during his first term. There are now MORE terrorists in iraq than when we first entered the war turning them from a possible threat to a full blown unquestionable one. More countries around the world dissaprove of america and flat out dont like us, and i dont really blame them. our troops are being sent out on multiple tours, our reserves and national guards are now almost all on an active duty status. WE STILL HAVENT FOUND OSAMA BIN LADEN. we're killing innocent iraqis and hundreds of our own soldiers weekly. we're fighting the wrong war, yet we're going to continue. bush's supposed plan to take us out of iraq STARTS in 2007 and takes an estimated 5-7 years. 2014...i'll be almost 30 by then... Our economy hasn't been this bad since the 80s when everyone blamed carter and regean for being terrible presidents. we have lost thousands upon thousands of jobs, minimum wage has been stuck for 7 years and congress is not even allowed to vote for it to be raised under the bush administration, thousands of citizens not only dont have healthcare coverage, but did at the beginning of bush's office and now have lost it. The gap between the rich and the poor is widening and yet the rich are the ones who get the tax breaks. 8.9 billion dollars in tax breaks to the top 1 percent of our country in fact. College tuition: 33% higher than when bush took office, and the "no child left behind act" has increased government help, slightly more than 5%...those numbers don't match up. in california the percentages are even higher. we have a government now that is run by a republican president, a republican house, and a republican senate, so these issues are bound to just magnify, not turn around. good thing we listened to the brilliant southern states that all voted for bush......
