nine pages.
It would be more, but I'm too lazy and tired to think of what I want to say next to summarize all this stuff I just wrote.
Before you get too excited, I had most of this written already, although separately. The intro is just a lit review and I did individual summaries of different articles the past few weeks; I'm just putting them together, making them flow, and summarizing. As well as editing all the stuff that Dr. UW told me to change as well as stuff I've decided I didn't like.
So, really, I should have gotten more done by now.. But.. Oh well.. I had the tv going when I was working on this, as well as talking to folks on IM. I'm such a hard worker. But, hey, it works for me I guess. I think I'm doing a lot more on my thesis than the rest of my classmates. I mean, I have an intro up and going. I'm actually writing part of my thesis. I'm dumbfounded. I can't believe I'm at this point. Gah. Maybe by early September I'll be finished and getting my proposal approved... ::crosses fingers::
Pandora is on my lap like a sweet kitty.
In other news, I e-mailed that lady who interviewed me for the behavior specialist job. So, the person who was supposed to start my background check just quit, the company that does their fingerprinting closed down, and Shelbyville decided they weren't hiring anymore behavior specialists and are contracting out to one person. But, she said, "I would still like to move forward with getting you set up as a Behavior Specialist as soon as things get switched to the new fingerprinting place and the new admin. person starts. But we would use you for Rutherford County instead."
This is good. Why? Because she finally said that she wants to hire me. She never really clearly came out and said that before, I just assumed since I filled out all the paperwork. Plus, now I can work in Rutherford County! For those of you not in the know, I live in Rutherford County. Murfreesboro is the biggest city in this county, so I'm guessing most of the work would be here. And probably Smyrna. And this makes me very happy. Less driving. Oh yeah!
She didn't answer the question about the number of hours I'd work.. And, although I'm happy not to have to drive around as much, I would be sad to quit my Vandy job because 1) the perks 2) the people and 3) I'm going to miss working in Nashville. Though I just don't like the job at Vandy very much.
I better get to bed. Maybe in the morning I can work on my thesis before I head to work. I'll just have to get up early enough. I'm lazy. Hah.
I slept on my neck wrong last night and it's been killing me all day. Grr.
