(no subject)
ok...so just a few things...just wanna say that just coz we've stopped the heated discussion doesnt mean its back to how it was before...we both now know where we stand, and for once im not backing off of all my points, besides i do beleive i got the last word.
other than that...i feel guilty for having had a good time last night?...it was the diwali show...and we were a party of 20...but...due to traffic and stress we became a party of 15...(grrr) neways...and we all went to watch meenakshi perform...she did a dance to a song from an indian film...(wont bore you to tears with the details) well, neways meena has only been in the hindi dance group for 3 weeks...and she knew the dance perfectly...i think thefact that she dances on a saturday at an english placed helped her pick it up so well...neways in themorning she kept throwing up...and i thinki t was nerves...i mean...this is an eight year old...being sick from nerves...my poor baby :(...neways...she did great...her whole group did well...and her dance teacher is a good dancer and teacher aswell (she had to join in the dance at the end to even it out) meenakshi looked great (she wud...she's MY sister :p)
other than that...there was a guy playing a sax, a hubby and wife singing a bajan (by which time i got bored and took my sister out for a walk) and then came back for this wkd dance to one of my fave songs ever...Ishq Samundar...*sings* from the flm kaante...and guess who it was?...Sasha patel and some other girl...but, i saw sasha on stage and i knew i recognised her...she's theyr above me...she just left my school and it was like...heyyyy i know her! she's a wkd dancer...(known at school for her dancing) so yehw en she came out we got talking...was cool...she's studying Aerospace engineering :|! sounds posh! lol (im such a commoner! :p)
and then there were various other dances, and little sketches of the story of diwali by the kids who learn hindi...and then this black lady came on stage...and mum had told me about her...she's been learning hindi with the kids for a while...and she recited a poem...and wow...she was good! tho coz of the english accent...it sounded a little funny...but other than that word for word perfect!
the babies we're restless...and so all the mum's /dad's (and random sisters...ie me) took them out to the little side bit where they were getting read y to serve the food, and let them all run around...there was this 17 month old boy there and he was chasing Aishani (my cuz) who is 15 months old round...and tryna kiss her...well aishani is fast on her feet so he had no such luck...then he came to nandika who was crawling and kissed her! it was so cute! then he went back after aishani and pushed her over twice...lol...
didnt win anything in the raffle tho my numbers came pretty close three times! cuda won a tv vcr! :( or a gold set :( ate diner...wasnt as bad as it used to be wen i was little...then...came the presentations...where all the kids got little trophies and some money...so meenakshi got a tenner and a trophy...and then they all went up again and got £11 from some old man lol...btw...if ur wondering whats with the £11and not just a round number...well, the £1 is sposed to be good luk...so we give money in £11's £21's £31's etc...
then came the part id been looking forward to all night!...ZEE BHANGRAAAA! :D nache punabia ve ;) lol yes the bhangra...so i dance punjabi style ;) with my aunt (and no she's not old she's young so it was cool :p) and my mothe (who is old and embarrasing) and my sis's and 2 baby cuz's...then we ended up in the stage and i was dancing with sasha and so on...but yes..they played good songs at first...then they put 'rail gadi' on...so yes...conga *smacks forehead* damn them...id been talking to sarah about conga lines in general the night b4 and told her yr in yr out that song comes on...so wen it id...i txt her the random word 'CONGA!' and joined in lol...dodnt last long..we ended up being a circle on stage! lol...but yes i finally got to dance at a function to indian music...and i have fulfilled my urge to dance coz i remember a while ago i wrote a really random entry about wanting to dance! lol...but if the other 5 of the group had turned up (my aunt, uncle and their kids...my cuz's the youngest being preya- 21) then ida been the first person on that stage. me and preya wuda shown those pro dancers how to dance ;) lol...no seriously wen we're all together (like 15 of us togther...all the cuz's) we're unstoppable...i must invite u all to my wedding to show u ;) lol...
neways yeh...so got in at like 11 summat...and well...yeh thats the end lol...
other than that i have FOUR uni offers! :D City being y highest out of all of them so far...(my 2nd choice)
i shud go and view city, UCL (properly) and g.wich...they are the most important...
2morrow is my longest day at school this week...ive got art, soc, g.st (which i have to leave early for various reasons) and rs (which i'll be turnin up late to) and then lunch, and psych and then im very likely to be doing my cast of my back tommorow...hmmm...*must remember to take 2 towels* and my bra...hmmm
