Who Would You Cast For Fruits Basket Live-Action?
All right, so me and
simplyobessed were up late one night, talking about Johnny's boys (Johnny's Entertainment, famous talent agency for Japanese boy bands) and live-action dramas of manga/anime we like, and we thought, "Hey, if Fruits Baskets is full of hot/beautiful guys, what would a live-action be like?" Well, more like the casting, since live-action FB would be a little, well, odd, to say the least. But yeah, after giggling all night like fangirls, here's what we came up with:
DISCLAIMER: As far as we know, there is no live-action in production, this is all in fun. I would love to hear your comments and see your choices, but please, NO FLAMING or complaining that our choices are dumb. Of course this is dumb, a good chunk of these choices were pure fangirl fantasy, silly. ^_~

Come on, Yamapi was MADE to play Yuki. Even his hair is perfect! You guys can argue with me all you want over my other picks (since they were mainly based on fulfilling fangirliness), but I will never let go of this choice.
Shigure

This choice was mostly to make
simplyobessed happy, since she LOVES Ryo and Shigure. However, the choice makes sense. They're both rather mysterious and amusingly perverted.
Kyo
played by ? Kyo's shoes are so hard to fill! Comment (with pics) who you think should play our angry kitty male lead.
Momiji

SO CUTE! Tegoshi's so cute and happy and bouncy like a bunny, plus he looks super young like Momiji even though he's like, 19.

Ok, I know Hatori's supposed to be all super serious and whatnot, but not only is Taka super hawt, he's a great actor, Shun Oguri's best friend, and looks damn good in a suit. It was sooo damn hard trying to find a pic to match Hatori cuz you just can NOT un-sexify this man! He can be lookin all super serious and wearing Jebus knows what, but that look in his eyes....GUH.

Sexy badass who's a bit of a baka and in love with Yuki/Yamapi? COME ON! Tell me you didn't see this coming. Just give him spiky white and black hair and we're in business!

Ok, so this was chosen A) Cuz I couldn't think of anyone who would fit Hiro and B) Cuz I really love Shige and this choice SORTA makes sense if you think about it: young, cute, smart, mature for his age, a bit of a sharp tongue, and low self-confidence (although Shige seems to have improved quite a bit in that department). Sucks though, cuz I'm not really a Hiro fan. People, please give me an alternative person cuz I know Shige doesn't really fit here. Just didn't wanna leave him blank (and cuz I wanted to include Shige somehow).
Ritsu

He is sooo ridiculously pretty, just like Ritsu! Plus look at him in a kimono....all we need is him flailing about and it'd be perfect.
Kureno

Ok, so this was mostly done to fulfill my number one fangirl crush, the ridiculously hawt Shun Oguri. But still, Shun is a fantastic actor and even though Kureno doesn't have many appearances or lines, we've all seen what Shun can do with just body language and expression alone in his role as Hanazawa Rui. Hot damn this dude is amazing. Ok, I'm rambling, I'mma stop now. <3 Shun <3
