So yesterday, the oral surgeon finished what evolution had begun, by removing my three wisdom teeth. Yup, I was only born with three wisdom teeth. Swell indeed.
Things have been going much better ever since I stopped taking the pain medicine they prescribed me. It's generic Percoset, which I just spelled horribly wrong, I think. But yeah...I was reading the little paper thingie that the pills came with this morning. My whole reason for reading it was to determine whether they could be taken on an empty stomach or not, because my tummy wasn't feeling well but my mouth hurt. Turns out that my mom lied to me, and that I can take them on an empty stomach. But in my reading, the side effects caught my eye. Included in this list were such lovely symptoms as lightheadedness, dizzyness, nausea, vomiting and sleepiness. There were more, but I only put these because they were the ones I had. The sleepiness I didn't mind. In fact, after spending a week of not getting a whole lot of sleep at Camp Sunshine, I enjoyed sleeping most of Monday away. It was mostly the vomiting and nausea that bothered me, for obvious reasons. And of course, the lightheadedness and dizzyness didn't contribute at all to the nausea. *eyeroll*
But yeah. I've decided to switch to Advil. I did so this afternoon, after the other stuff had worn off. I swear that it's the pain medicine that they prescribed that was making me feel all icky. I feel fine now. My mouth has started to hurt a little, but that's just because I'm due to take Advil. Even then, it's just when I try to open my mouth too much, like to yawn.
But speaking of yawning...it's time to take my Advil and head off to bed. Nighty night everyone.
