As if you couldn't tell...Kyle and his recently-self-highlighted hair (that looks orange by the way) is using my computer, and listening to Cher. Thankfully, he shut the door and I can listen to my mp3 player...thus blocking out whatever horrid noise is being emitted from my room. Yes, I have Cher on my computer...Kyle put it there. It only really causes a problem at times like these, and of course when he comes in my room in the morning and wakes me up by blasting "Bang Bang" which might just have the stoopidest lyrics ever: "I was five and your were six/We rode on horses made of sticks". *facepalm* I think that overall the song's about racial intolerance...but I can't help but laugh when I hear that. =/ Does that make me a bad person? Does it make the situation any better when I point out that Cher sounds like a man? control shift three. *the blushing smiley on AIM for those of you who haven't memorized the smiley keyboard shortcuts*
Anyway...this is the same brother that bought a do-it-yourself highlighting kit, and highlighted his own hair. I helped him do the back, then explained how to use the tri-fold mirror in our parents' bathroom to see the back of his head once the dye was all rinsed and washed and such.
But! Last night...the Our Lady of the Lake volleyball team made its record 6-6. =) Coach was there too...and that was swell. STB volleyball will be starting...within the next few weeks. Double sessions the Friday and Saturday before school starts...and it'd help if I knew when captain's practices were. Oh well...the fun part is getting to eat at Taco Bell for lunch. *drools*
But yes...after our game last night, most everyone at the game came to my house and experienced the glee that is (are?) my cookies that I make. Matt St. John made a comment about how of course I wouldn't like the hideous bear rug in our dining room...because I'm a Democrat. Cue the glaring. Other than that...things went smoothly and quite well. The hot tub lost a bit of water...but I suppose that's to be expected when you try to fit eight or nine people in it, and it's designed for six. Not a big deal really, I stuck the hose in and probably used less water to fill it than I usually use to shower. It was a site of amusement...with Travis being amused by the suction thingies that feed the jets, and also a site of competition...which, I belive, began with Travis trying to stick his big toe in his mouth. I countered with sticking my tounge to my heel. I belive Brittany won...being able to put her foot behind her head. There was also a bit of a bathing suit swap going on...Bridgette let Samm use hers, so Bridgette used one of mine. Overall, a fun time. =) Hopefully we'll have a chance to do it again before the season ends.
