Good evening,
feel_the_fate! Wanted to do an official post abut this to clear lots of things up, hope you all don't mind how long this is ):
So, I'm sure that some of you guys have already heard about the whole drama that's started since the beginning of this year's live tour concerning the new female dancers. In a nutshell, Keita and the two female dancers did some really suggestive choreography at both of the opening yokohama pacifico shows, and a good number of the fans at the show (not all of them), angered, responded by booing, consequently booing the boys as well. The energy in the venue was also extremely low compared to past opening shows, something that the staff calls "a first in w-inds.history".
The boys were also extremely bothered by these happenings. Ryohei, the usual stoic leader, has even blogged about how exhausted, tired, and stressed out they are at the beginning of a tour, an absolute first (
link). Another blog of his also suggests that they're really feeling the effects of this (
link).
Then, people started wondering what would happen to the girls, the choreography, and the show because of the fans' displeasure. There have been multiple discussions going on as well~ Today, at the first kawaguchi show, we got our answers:
1. The girls, Sumire and Mio, are still part of this summer's tour,
2. however, all choreography between the boys (mainly keita) and the two girls have been completely changed. Now, the choreography does not bring them into contact at all and does not insinuate that there is some sort of relationship.
Thanks to
kirari and
dash_ignition's translations of achi's, one of the w-inds.' dancers, blog and another concert report, we know these things for sure. Huge, huge thank you to them for letting me post up their translations! Please, please read them if you'd like (:

the entanglement is gone [t/n: as in, the parts where they dance together are gone]
Theme: Blog
In the ground glass scene in Upside Down where Keita sits on a sofa and sings, the kiss scene turned into [just] the dancer. The involement between the female dancer and Keita is gone.
The scenes in GAME and Crazy for You that were explicit [t/n she doesn't say explicit, she says the entanglement but explicit makes more sence in English] are also gone.
It's really complicated [and I'm still confused], but the cheers from the fans were all very warm and encouraging.
There are a lot of pros and cons, but I want to applaud w-inds., who stepped upto the challenge presented to them by their fans. Today I was surprised that there were more guards and staff than usual at the Kawaguchi Arena.
Was it alwys like that?
Their dancing and singing was good again today.
I was moved. The MC was also done in full.
In the assembly hall, it was really warm and they really did their best during the encore, so that was good.
But today, for some reason, I want to cry.
I want Keita to freely be able to spread his wings. At the opening day at the Pacifico, for me that was the best stage.
In Japan, can we still not accept people for who they are?
But at the same time, this is a really peaceful solution..? There's no answer..

I'm tired~~~!
Theme: Blog
Ahh~~ I'm tired today again!
Actually, it's pretty private, but
A month ago I started going to TIPNESS; just yesterday I went to do some weight training.
やっぱみっちり追い込んだ次の日のこのライブは体くるね~!
人に鍛えてますって言うの自分の中ではかっちょよくないなと思うんで、
そのせいにもあんまりしたくないんですが、あ、今日調子悪そうって思ったらきっと筋トレの次の日なんでしょう(笑) [t/n: ^stopped translating coz didn't have stuff to do w/ concert]
man~~
Everyone,
are you satisfied?
was that good?
I really can't grasp it.
This is the present status quo of the Japanese Entertainment industry, I guess?
But I think it's the worst for the people themselves. [t/n: aka w-inds. &the girls]

The comments were amazing
Theme: Blog
To be honest, since I've started my blog [I haven't had any comments, so] I was surprised about my first comment.…f^_^;。
So many people are reading my blog...
I think that no one's opinions are wrong.
Sorry for not writing much, but
For today's performance, all of the performers, members, and dancers, we all gave it our all!
I think that's because we wanted to show everyone who came a good performance, so we did it with the same feelings that we always do; I think this feeling will never change.
When I said that I could not grasp it, I was talking about the organization that has spent a lot of time thinking about it changed it. I think that if it was a "okay, i got it" type of easy dance to replace choreo with, from the beginning it wouldn't be decided.
Overall, I want to always consider that feeling.
Of course, there has to be a balance between what people wish for and what we can give.
That way, so that in that balance both the people watching and performing can have a fun live, as a dancer I have to support the artists.
Thank you for all your precious opinions. If I reject comments, all of them will disappear. f^_^;
But all of the comments are also in my cellphone, so it's okay.
If something else comes up, instead of another blog, please comment here.
